The Barn at Liberty Farms

The Barn at Liberty Farms, in Upstate New York, a romantic elegant and rustic country barn venue for weddings and events with an organic farm, horses, ponds, fields, views of the Catskill and Berkshire mountains

is the BARN at Liberty Farms the venue for you?

One of the best things about having your wedding at the BARN is using your creativity to make the space yours - from down-home country to luxe and elegant. Now, it is a barn/farm, so expect rustic. But if you’re the DIY type, then you shouldn’t have a problem making the space your own.  If you have a vision and dream but little time, then we recommend you find a wedding planner to make your vision come true!

Many couples choose to have their wedding ceremony outside, and then use the barn for their reception. You are free to choose an area of the grounds to have your ceremony. Our best advice is to take a tour so you can walk around and envision your wedding in the space.

Yes, you need to choose all your elements, caterers, rentals, entertainment, decorations, but don't be overwhelmed, we can help guide you in these decisions. We can recommend a local rental company, that literally can provide everything you need for your day, tables, chairs, linens, plates, glasses, string lights, wine barrels, tents, drapery etc, and the best thing, is they help set up and tear down.  It couldn't be easier!

There are so many wonderful reasons to have a farm wedding! Right now there’s really a mix of reasons why folks are choosing that great location for their weddings. There are couples who are seeking farm and barn venues because of the trend we’re seeing in the wedding industry right now – relaxed, rustic inspired celebrations. And hey, that’s a great reason. Farms are a beautiful backdrop for a celebration regardless of the trend happening in the wedding world.

A farm is a perfect place for celebrating love. Farms have so much going that mirror what a relationship has: History. A deep caring about life and nurturing it. An understanding that for things to grow, it takes time and energy, love, cultivation, persistence, patience, flexibility.

Now about barns. They are the icing on the cake. There is no pretense about a barn. They have natural character, and don’t require tons of added decoration to make it an interesting setting to celebrate in. There are often less restrictions at a barn venue (though not always), on the end-time for the event, the noise, the exclusive agreements on caterers and other vendors, which allows couples to really craft their details and feel a little more free in their planning.
